  1. Congratulations Petre!

You recognized and painted, what I believe, is the essence of the story/song. You presented the metaphysical questions of life, death, birth and eternal life of an individual (or group or even broader) not only by smartly using symbols such as water and ouroboros but also through light, diagonality, horse's movement, and very importantly great use of Marko's face. Plus, I enjoyed a lot fairy with her calmness and focus on ouroboros.

After many great giants, this to me looks more like painting in your own best tradition of Steel Bashsaw, but is still new and different as if one can feel a time gap between both.

On a separate note, it is very refreshing to see Marko Kraljević as it should be, serious, deep, complex without any trivialities and banalities.

    All the best,
    Ivan

    1. Thank you very much for this extraordinary analysis of the painting. You quite accurately described the main aims of this piece. As is with any good art, it is important that the viewer is sufficiently stimulated to ask questions, think/feel and see in a new, different way. So, I hope this painting will sufficiently motivate other people as well to think about it and to try to find out for themselves what exactly this piece of art tries to tell them.

      Much obliged, Ivane!
